Introduction
The Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has released Advertisement Notification No. 07 of 2026 for filling 72 Divisional Cadre (Kashmir) vacancies under the Prime Minister’s Package for Kashmiri Migrants and Non-Migrant Kashmiri Pandits. The posts are requisitioned by the Department of Disaster Management, Relief, Rehabilitation & Reconstruction (DMRRR) across various government departments.
Important Eligibility Note: As per SRO 412 of 2009 and SRO 425 of 2017, only certified “Kashmiri Migrants” (certified by Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner, J&K) or “Non-Migrant Kashmiri Pandits” (certified by Deputy Commissioner of the concerned district) who are domiciles of J&K are eligible to apply.

Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification (Post-Wise)
- Draftsman (Civil) [Item 97]: Two (2) years Draftsman Training Course Certificate/Diploma in Civil from a recognized Institute.
- Sub-Inspector [Item 98]: Graduation Degree from a recognized University.
- Junior Statistical Assistant [Item 99]: Bachelor’s Degree with Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Commerce, Computer Applications, or Information Technology as one of the elective subjects.
- Motor Vehicle Traffic Assistant [Item 100]: 10th Pass with a 2-year ITI Motor Mechanic Vehicle Course from a recognized Institute AND a valid Driving License for Motor Cycle with Gear & Light Motor Vehicles.
- Junior Librarian [Item 101]: Bachelor’s Degree in Library Science from a recognized University.
- Library Assistant [Item 102]: Graduate Degree from a recognized University WITH a Degree or Diploma in Library Science.
- Depot Assistant [Item 103]: Matriculation (10th Pass) or its equivalent from a recognized Board/University.
Domicile & Special Status Requirements
- Domicile: Candidates must be valid Domiciles of the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir.
- Special Category Certification:
- Migrants applying under SRO 412 of 2009 must produce a certificate from the Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner, J&K.
- Non-Migrant Kashmiri Pandits applying under SRO 425 of 2017 must produce a certificate from the concerned Deputy Commissioner.

Selection Process
Selection for all posts listed under this notification will be made strictly on the basis of merit:
- Written Examination (Objective/OMR): Multiple-choice questions set in English only.
- Negative marking: 0.25 (1/4th) mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer.
- Document Verification (DV): Shortlisted candidates based on written test scores will be called to produce original certificates (Domicile, Category, Migrant/Non-Migrant Certificate, Qualification, Birth Certificate, etc.).
