Eligibility Criteria for JKSSB Notification 09 of 2026
- Domicile Status: Candidates must be domiciles of the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir and possess a valid Domicile Certificate issued on or before 03.11.2026.
Educational Qualification
- Class-IV (MTS) Posts: Minimum Matric (10th pass) and Maximum 10+2 (Higher Secondary).
- Sanitation Worker Posts: Minimum 8th Pass and Maximum 10+2.
- Note: Candidates possessing qualifications higher than 10+2 are not eligible for appointment under direct recruitment rules.
Age Limit & Relaxations (as on 01.01.2026)
- Open Merit (OM): Maximum 40 Years (Born between 01.01.1986 and 01.01.2008)
- SC / ST-1 / ST-2 / RBA / ALC / IB / EWS / OBC: Maximum 43 Years (Born between 01.01.1983 and 01.01.2008)
- Physically Challenged (PwBD): Maximum 42 Years (Born between 01.01.1984 and 01.01.2008)
- Ex-Servicemen: Allowed to deduct armed service period from actual age; resultant age must not exceed the prescribed limit by more than 3 years.
- Casual Workers: 5 years relaxation in upper age limit under S.O. 184 of 2020.
