Airports Authority of India (AAI), a Schedule ‘A’ Miniratna Category-1 Public Sector Enterprise, has issued Advertisement No. 01/2026/APPRENTICE/GRADUATE/DIPLOMA/ITI/NR inviting online applications for 1-year Apprenticeship Training for the year 2026–27 across various Northern Region airports.

Monthly Stipend & Training Duration
- Duration of Training: 12 Months (1 Year)
- Graduate (Degree) Apprentices: ₹15,000/- per month (AAI Share: ₹8,850/- + Govt. Share through DBT: ₹6,150/-)
- Technical (Diploma) Apprentices: ₹12,000/- per month (AAI Share: ₹6,550/- + Govt. Share through DBT: ₹5,450/-)
- Trade (ITI) Apprentices: ₹9,600/- per month
Eligibility Criteria for AAI Northern Region Apprentice Recruitment 2026
- Domicile Requirement: Candidates must be Indian Nationals and permanent domiciles of Chandigarh, Delhi, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Leh Ladakh, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, or Uttarakhand.
- Passing Year Criterion: Only candidates who passed their Degree / Diploma / ITI in 2024 or after 2024 are eligible.
- Ineligibility: Candidates who have already undergone, are currently undergoing apprenticeship training, or have 1 year or more of job experience are not eligible.
Educational Qualification
- Graduate Apprentices: Full-time (Regular) 4-year Degree in Engineering in relevant discipline or BCA / B.Com from an AICTE / Government recognized University/Institution.
- Diploma Apprentices: Full-time (Regular) 3-year Diploma in Engineering in relevant streams recognized by AICTE, GOI.
- ITI Trade Apprentices: ITI / NCVT Certificate in COPA, Steno, or Computer Hardware & Networking from an institution recognized by AICTE, GOI.
Age Limit & Relaxations (as on 16.09.2026)
- Minimum Age: 18 Years
- Maximum Age: 26 Years
- Age Relaxation: Upper age relaxation is admissible for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD candidates as per Government of India guidelines.

Selection Process for AAI Northern Region Apprentice Recruitment 2026
- Provisional Shortlisting (Merit-Based): Prepared based on the percentage of marks obtained in the qualifying examination (Degree, Diploma, or ITI). In case of a tie in percentage, older candidates by date of birth followed by date of passing will be prioritized.
- Document Verification & Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be invited for Document Verification and Interview via their registered email IDs only. (No TA/DA is admissible).
- Medical Fitness Examination: Candidates must submit a Medical Fitness Certificate issued by a Government Medical Officer / Medical Officer of a Government Undertaking at the time of joining.
- Apprenticeship Contract: Final selected candidates must sign an apprenticeship contract on the NATS 2.0 / NAPS portal upon reporting.
