Educational Qualification
- Junior Pharmacist: 10+2 with Science + Degree or Diploma in Pharmacy Course from a recognized Institute.
- Junior Staff Nurse: Matric or above qualification with Science + Diploma in General Nursing & Midwifery (GNM) from a recognized Institute.
- Horticulture Technician Grade-IV: 10+2 with one-year Basic Horticulture Training passed. (Prescribed training certificate must be from a government/ICAR/UGC accredited institute).
- Senior Canning Attendant: Matriculation or equivalent with 6 months training in Fruit Preservation.
- Health Educator: Graduation with Science from any recognized University.
- Sanitary Inspector: 10+2 or above qualification with minimum 2-year Diploma in Sanitation and Public Health from a recognized Institute / State Medical Faculty / J&K State Paramedical Council.
- Junior Lab. Technician: Matric or above qualification with minimum 2-year Diploma in Lab Technician or Degree in Lab Technology.
- Junior Theatre Technician: Matric or above qualification with Degree/Diploma in Operational Theatre Technology.
- Junior Ophthalmic Technician: Matric or above qualification with Degree/Diploma in Ophthalmic Technician Course.
- Para Medical Assistant: 10+2 with Diploma in Para Medical Assistant Course.
- FMPHW (Female Multipurpose Health Worker): Matric or above with Science + Diploma in FMPHW from a recognized Institute.
- MMPHW (Male Multipurpose Health Worker): Matric or above with minimum 1-year or above Diploma in MMPHW.
- Junior Laboratory Assistant: Graduate in Science (B.Sc. in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics). Preference given to candidates holding a PG Diploma in Professional Lab Course in Chemistry/Science.
- Supervisor: Matriculation or equivalent examination from a recognized Board/University.
- Domicile Requirement: Candidate must be a valid Domicile of the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir as on or before the cut-off date (09.10.2026).

Selection Process for JKSSB Recruitment Notification Out for 518 Posts
The selection for all advertised posts under Notification 08 of 2026 will be conducted strictly through a single-stage competitive process:
- Objective Type Written / OMR Examination: Multiple-choice questions (MCQs) in English. Negative marking of 0.25 (1/4th) marks applies for every incorrect answer.
- Document Verification (DV): Shortlisted candidates based on written merit will be called to produce original certificates, degrees, domicile, and category proofs.
