J&K Chief Minister’s Digital Internship Programme 2026 (CMDIP). The Jammu and Kashmir e-Governance Agency (JaKeGA), under the Information Technology Department, Government of Jammu and Kashmir, has announced Notification No. 01-JaKeGA of 2026 along with Corrigendum No. 1 for the Chief Minister’s Digital Internship Programme 2026 (CMDIP) (Batch-I).

This flagship initiative aims to train skilled youth across Jammu & Kashmir in digital governance, software engineering, and emerging technologies. Selected interns will undergo a 6-month paid internship working on live public-sector e-Governance projects, guided by government, academic, and industry mentors.

Eligibility Criteria

• Domicile & Citizenship: Candidates must be Indian citizens and permanent domiciles of the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir.
• Age Limit: Must be between 21 and 28 years of age at the time of application.
• Educational Qualification:
  • Must hold a B.E. / B.Tech / M.E. / M.Tech in Computer Science or Information Technology, OR
  • MCA / M.Sc. in Computer Science or Information Technology.
  • Candidates must have passed from a recognized University or Institute within the last two (02) years, or be currently in their final year/final semester of study.
  • Must possess a minimum of 70% marks in the qualifying degree (or a cumulative average of 70% across all previous semesters).
  • Final semester applicants must submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) / Recommendation Letter from their institute.

Selection Process for J&K Chief Minister’s Digital Internship Programme 2026 (CMDIP)

The selection process is completely interview-free, objective, and merit-driven:

1. Stage 1 – Academic & Eligibility Screening (60% Weightage): Evaluation based on academic scores, discipline relevance, recognized certifications, and a mandatory Statement of Purpose (SoP). Candidates will be shortlisted in a maximum ratio of 1:10 per available seat.
2. Stage 2 – Track-Specific Proctored Assessment (40% Weightage): Shortlisted candidates will appear for a secure online/offline proctored assessment aligned with their selected technology domain.
3. Stage 3 – Composite Merit List & Department Allocation: Final selection and department allocation will be made strictly on the cumulative score of Stage 1 and Stage 2.
4. Program Completion: Successful candidates will receive a certificate signed by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Jammu & Kashmir.
