Introduction

GMC Jammu Recruitment 2026. Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu & its Associated Hospitals have released Advertisement Notice No. 02/AHJ of 2026 (dated 14-08-2026) inviting applications from domicile candidates of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.

The recruitment is conducted for engagement on an Academic Arrangement Basis under SRO 24 (now SO 364 dated 27.11.2020) for an initial tenure of one year, extendable up to a maximum of six years (one year at a time, subject to good performance and conduct) or until posts are filled on a substantive basis, whichever is earlier.

Eligibility Criteria for GMC Jammu Recruitment 2026

• Domicile: Must be a domicile of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
• Age Limit: Maximum age limit is 63 Years as on the date of application submission.
• Council Registration: Mandatory Registration Certificate from the J&K Paramedical Council.

Educational Qualification & Experience for GMC Jammu Recruitment 2026

• Technical Supervisor: 12th pass (Science stream) with B.Sc Nuclear Medicine, DMRIT (Nuclear Medicine), or M.Sc Nuclear Medicine + RSO Level-II Certification recognized by AERB + 03 years experience as Chief Technician.
• Chief Technician: 12th pass (Science stream) with B.Sc Nuclear Medicine, DMRIT (Nuclear Medicine), or M.Sc Nuclear Medicine + RSO Level-II Certification recognized by AERB + 03 years experience as Senior Technician Nuclear Medicine.
• Senior Technician: 12th pass (Science stream) with B.Sc Nuclear Medicine, DMRIT (Nuclear Medicine), or M.Sc Nuclear Medicine + RSO Level-II Certification recognized by AERB + 03 years experience as Junior Technician Nuclear Medicine.
• Nuclear Medicine Assistant: 12th pass with Science stream and B.Sc Nuclear Medicine.

Selection Process

The selection process is governed by the following criteria:

1. Scrutiny of Applications: Verification of prescribed qualifications, council registrations, and experience.
2. Academic & Technical Merit: Selections are made in accordance with SRO 24 / SO 364 guidelines and J&K Reservation Rules (no extra weightage for qualifications beyond the prescribed criteria).
3. Document Verification: Verification of original certificates.
