CSBC Bihar Police Driver Constable DET Date 2026. The Central Selection Board of Constable (CSBC), Bihar has published an official notice (dated 31st July 2026) regarding the Driving Efficiency Test (DET) and Document Verification (DV) schedule for the post of Driver Constable (चालक सिपाही) in Bihar Police under Advertisement No. 02/2025.

Initially advertised on 17.07.2025 for 4,361 vacancies, CSBC conducted the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) from 12.03.2026 to 24.03.2026 for 15,516 written exam qualified candidates. Based on the PET, 11,847 candidates were declared qualified to participate in the upcoming Motor Vehicle Driving Efficiency Test (DET) and Document Verification.

Eligibility Criteria

• Educational Qualification: Must have passed Intermediate (10+2) or equivalent examination.
• Driving License Criteria: Candidates must possess a valid Light Motor Vehicle (LMV) or Heavy Motor Vehicle (HMV) Driving License issued at least one (01) year prior to the advertisement date (17.07.2025), i.e., on or before 17.07.2024 in original.
• Age Limit & Category Relaxations: As per the rules and standards detailed in the primary Advertisement No. 02/2025.

Selection Process

The complete selection process for Bihar Police Driver Constable consists of the following sequential stages:

1. Written Examination: (Already Conducted)
2. Physical Efficiency Test (PET): (Conducted from 12.03.2026 to 24.03.2026)
3. Motor Vehicle Driving Efficiency Test (DET): Testing skills on Car, Jeep, Bus, and Truck starting from 24th August 2026.
4. Document Verification (DV): Conducted on the same day as the Driving Efficiency Test at the DET venue.
5. Medical Examination & Final Merit List: Prepared as per driving test performance and document clearance.

How to Download DET Admit Card & Obtain Duplicate Admit Card

1. Visit the official website of CSBC Bihar at https://csbc.bihar.gov.in.
2. Click on the “Bihar Police” tab on the homepage.
3. Look for the link titled “Download DET E-Admit Card for Driver Constable (Advt. No. 02/2025)” starting from 10th August 2026 (00:00 Hours).
4. Enter your Registration Number / Roll Number and Date of Birth to download your E-Admit Card.
5. Issue of Duplicate Admit Card: Candidates unable to download their E-Admit Card online for any technical reason can obtain a duplicate admit card in person at their own expense from the CSBC Office at Back Harding Road (Near Secretariat Halt), Patna – 800001 on 21st August 2026 and 22nd August 2026 between 10:00 AM and 05:00 PM.

Required Documents for Document Verification (DV)

Candidates must carry their DET Admit Card along with the original certificates and one set of self-attested photocopies on the date of their DET/DV test:

• Valid Photo ID Proof (Aadhaar Card, Driving License, Voter ID, etc.).
• Original Driving License (LMV/HMV): Issued on or before 17.07.2024.
• Matriculation (Class 10th) Certificate & Marksheet (as Date of Birth Proof).
• Intermediate (10+2) Pass Certificate & Marksheet.
• Caste Certificate & Domicile Certificate: Issued by competent authority.
• For BC / EBC Candidates: Non-Creamy Layer (NCL) Certificate. (For married female candidates, caste/NCL certificates must be issued based on their father’s name and address).
• For EWS Candidates: EWS Income and Asset Certificate for FY 2023-2024 or FY 2024-2025 + Domicile Certificate.
• Freedom Fighter Dependents (FFW) / Transgender / Bihar Police Contractual Driver Experience Certificates (if applicable).
