Eligibility Criteria for GMC Jammu MBBS Admission 2026–27

• Academic Qualification: Must have passed 10+2 (Higher Secondary Examination Part-II) with Physics, Chemistry, Biology (PCB), and English from a recognized Board/University.
• Entrance Examination: Must have qualified NEET UG 2026 and secured a valid allotment through BOPEE or MCC counselling.
• University Registration: Final eligibility and registration are determined by the University of Jammu under Statutes 1.1(a, b) governing the MBBS course.

• Course Admission Fee: ₹26,250/-
• Payment Mode: Must be submitted strictly via Demand Draft (DD) issued by J&K Bank only, drawn in favour of “Principal Govt. Medical College, Jammu”, payable at Jammu.

Selection & Admission Process for GMC Jammu MBBS Admission 2026–27

1. Seat Allotment: Candidates are provisionally selected through NEET UG counselling conducted by J&K BOPEE (State Quota) or MCC (All India Quota).
2. Physical Reporting: Candidates must physically report to the Student Section, GMC Jammu, with the prescribed joining report and document folders.
3. Scrutiny & Verification: Institutional scrutiny committee checks all original certificates, affidavits, and payment demand drafts.
4. Provisional Admission Grant: GMC Jammu issues the provisional admission order for 1st Year MBBS pending final registration by the University of Jammu.

How to Complete the Admission Process

1. Download the official joining report and affidavit formats from the official portal or notice copy.
2. Prepare the Demand Draft of ₹26,250/- from any J&K Bank branch payable at Jammu.
3. Prepare the necessary affidavits (Anti-Ragging, Rules & Regulations, and Gap Affidavit if applicable) on non-judicial stamp papers and get them attested by a Notary/Magistrate.
4. Arrange one attested set tagged inside a file cover and one unattested set stapled separately.
5. Report to the Student Section, Administrative Block, Government Medical College, Jammu, during office hours to submit your admission dossier.
