Territorial Army Rally Recruitment 2026. The Indian Army has released the official schedule for the Territorial Army (TA) Infantry Battalion Recruitment Rally 2026. Selection in the Territorial Army is conducted on merit through direct open recruitment rallies held across different zones in India.

This recruitment drive is open for various posts, including Soldier (General Duty), Soldier (Clerk), and Soldier (Tradesman). Candidates from specified districts can participate in Stage-I (Document Checking, Physical Fitness Test, and Medical Examination) starting at 5:00 AM on their respective rally dates.

Vacancy Details

(Note: Specific vacancy numbers are distributed unit-wise and category-wise as per military requirements. The selection is conducted for the following trades):

• Soldier (General Duty – GD)
• Soldier (Clerk)
• Soldier (Tradesman – 10th Pass)
• Soldier (Tradesman – 8th Pass for House Keeper & Mess Keeper)

Eligibility Criteria for Territorial Army Rally Recruitment 2026

Educational Qualification

• Soldier (General Duty):
  • Class 10th / Matric pass with minimum 45% aggregate marks and at least 33% in each subject.
  • For grading systems, a minimum of D Grade (33-40) in individual subjects and an overall aggregate of C2 Grade is required.
• Soldier (Clerk):
  • Class 10+2 / Intermediate pass in any stream (Arts, Commerce, Science) with at least 60% aggregate marks and minimum 50% in each subject.
  • Securing 50% marks in English and Mathematics / Accounts / Book Keeping in Class 12th is mandatory.
• Soldier (Tradesman):
  • Class 10th simple pass for all tradesmen (min 33% in each subject).
  • Class 8th simple pass for House Keeper and Mess Keeper trades (min 33% in each subject).

Physical & Medical Standards

• Height: Minimum 160 cm
• Chest: Minimum 82 cm (with required expansion)
• Weight & Medical Standards: As per Regular Army Standards.

Age Limit

• Age Range: 18 to 42 Years (Standard TA Rules / Refer to Official Notification).

• Note: Recruitment in the Territorial Army is completely free and fair. Candidates should not pay any bribe to unscrupulous persons or recruiting agents.

Selection Process

The Territorial Army selection consists of two main stages:

1. Stage-I (Rally Ground Test):
   • Document Checking
   • Physical Fitness Test (PFT): 1 Mile Run, Pull-ups, Balance Walk, and 9 Feet Ditch jump.
   • Medical Examination
2. Stage-II (Written Exam):
   • Common Entrance Examination (CEE) consisting of objective-type questions.
   • Admit Cards for Stage-II will be issued only to candidates who clear Stage-I.

How to Participate in Territorial Army Rally Recruitment 2026

1. Check the official rally schedule table below to find your district and assigned rally unit.
2. Gather all required original documents along with 2 sets of photocopies and 20 latest passport-size color photographs.
3. Report directly to the specified unit/venue on the starting date of your district rally at 5:00 AM.
4. Carry mandatory documents including:
   • Birth Certificate, 10th/12th Marksheets & Board Certificates.
   • Domicile Certificate issued by Tehsildar/District Magistrate with photograph.
   • Character Certificate (issued within last 6 months by Sarpanch/Municipal Corporation/SHO/Head of Institute).
   • Unmarried/Married Certificate (issued within last 6 months by Gram Pradhan).
   • Aadhar Card & PAN Card.
   • Sports / Relationship Certificates (if applicable).
